3P Event at Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust

In March 2019, SHP were invited by the Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust to help facilitate a week-long event held in partnership with the Virginia Mason Institute (VMI), based in Seattle, entitled the ‘3P Event’, which follows an approach that considers ‘Production’, ‘Preparation’ and ‘Process’ and has proved to be a valuable modelling tool for successfully developing a number of hospital projects in the US

A team of over 50 clinicians, patient representatives and other healthcare professionals were involved in scrutinising the proposed NHS Future Fit plans during a series of intense workshops and interactive workstream evaluations using VMI techniques to help ‘unlock’ opportunities at this key phase in the planned redevelopment of the Princess Royal Hospital (PRH) in Telford and the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital (RSH)

SHP is part of the advisory Technical Team supporting the Trust’s Sustainable Services Programme by providing activity, capacity and facility planning services relating to the long term reconfiguration and redevelopment plans
