SHP Roles and Responsibilities

SHP interacted with the clinical and FM support teams, to manage expectations, determine clarity in the brief and achieve 1:200 clinical sign off, together with drafting the Outline Business Case. This was achieved through a structured clinical engagement process of face-to-face and remote interactions. Our role has since been expanded to include the delivery of detailed phasing proposals to ensure safe and continued continuity of service. Initially the project was developed through the NHS P21+ initiative as part of Keir Construction supply chain and more latterly as a direct appointment with the Trust. The scheme has now been expanded to include the reprovision of the Emergency Centre as part of the Phase 1A of the Hospital redevelopment and is currently subject to NHSE approval prior to construction.
