The strategic direction of Primary Care across Lincolnshire is changing and Strategic Healthcare Planning has been working closely with four Lincolnshire Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) to provide a series of Primary Care Feasibility Studies.
A series of studies produced by SHP have been provided in order to consider the appropriate estates response to the current service changes and estates risks seen across several localities within the county. Primary care service delivery needs to change in order to respond to the national agenda of ‘delivery at scale’ and the move to provide local community services including some traditionally provided from acute hospitals. The estates risks are due to a combination of factors including workforce issues, old and unsuitable buildings and areas of significant housing growth.
The reports consider the context in which these services currently sit and determine the needs and objectives that any estate development will need to respond to. These include the case for change, service and demand requirements along with the service scope with a description of the desired models of care.
SHP would like to thank all colleagues within the CCGs and District Councils who have worked alongside us during the duration of the project and look forward to the possibility of assisting the CCGs in taking the strategic direction plans forward in the near future.
