UK Government hosts Turkish Ministry of Health

The British Government recently played host to representatives from the Turkish Ministry of Health and members of their construction industry who were embarking on a significant program to replace their old hospital building stock and were seeking guidance on the manner in which the UK introduced its PPP processes.

The group headed by Prof. Dr. Gumus the Under Secretary of Health met with the UK team, including Earl Howe and Lord Kakkar, in Windsor Castle and were provided with a detailed insight to a range of subjects from the initial assessment of need to the legal pitfalls learned by the UK market.

John Clarke and Chris Wood of Strategic Healthcare Planning were invited to share their knowledge gained since their involvement in the first wave schemes of Hereford and Worcester to their current contribution to the projects in Birmingham and Papworth.

The event further reinforced Strategic Healthcare Planning’s commitment to Turkey in developing their healthcare program, following which we opened our office in Ankara.
